Transparency Report 2025
Abstract
CAF’s 2025 Transparency Report highlights significant progress in openness and access to information, demonstrating the strengthening of the Program for Access to Information and Institutional Transparency (AITI) and the consolidation of transparency as a cross-cutting principle. The publication highlights the expansion of disclosed indicators, from 28 in 2024 to 30 in 2025, along with improvements to the Transparency Microsite, which recorded more than 17,599 visits thanks to optimizations in accessibility and document traceability. It also underscores progress in international standards, with a notable increase in the Development Finance Institutions Transparency Index, in which CAF substantially raised its sovereign and non-sovereign scores through the adoption of the IATI Standard and the publication of data in open formats. Likewise, the report highlights progress in providing information to governing bodies and strengthening channels for citizen engagement, such as the Environmental and Social Grievance Mechanism and the Whistleblower Hotline. Although challenges remain regarding the modernization of processes and the consolidation of an institutional culture fully oriented toward transparency, CAF reaffirms its ethical commitment to continue expanding access to relevant information to strengthen accountability and sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
