Sustainability Report 2025
Abstract
In 2025, CAF consolidated its position as the leading bank for green, sustainable, and inclusive development in Latin America and the Caribbean. With credit approvals totaling USD 18.668 billion—a 33% increase compared to 2024—and 44% allocated to green financing, it surpassed its 2026 target ahead of schedule and set a new ambition for 2030. Supporting initiatives in energy transition, infrastructure, resilient territories, biodiversity, social inclusion, and productivity, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. It mobilized USD 2.362 billion in additional resources, with strong private sector participation, and strengthened strategic partnerships globally. More than 5 million people benefited from climate adaptation initiatives, and millions more from financial inclusion, education, health, and social development. Promoting regional integration, equity, and climate resilience through financing, technical cooperation, and knowledge generation. This report reflects CAF’s institutional strengthening and ongoing commitment to the region’s sustainable development.
