Toward a resilient, sustainable, and regenerative agriculture sector
Resumen
“Towards a resilient, sustainable, and regenerative agricultural sector” is a report by ImpactoCAF that aims to describe the support provided by CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean to promote a more productive, sustainable, and resilient agricultural sector in the region. Despite its enormous agricultural potential, Latin America and the Caribbean face the challenge of increasing productivity while making sustainable use of their natural wealth. In response, CAF has supported the sector through financing and technical assistance aimed at technology and knowledge transfer, producer certification, the use of genetically improved seeds, irrigation infrastructure, marketing and logistics, and financing for the adoption of sustainable practices. These actions have the potential to increase production yields and the income of farming families, while contributing to poverty reduction and the preservation of the region's natural resources.
