Electrification for Sustainable Development
Abstract
Electrification is crucial for sustainable development, as it ensures economic, educational, and health opportunities for families. In Latin America and the Caribbean, millions of households lack access to electricity, impacting labor productivity, children's education, and residents' health. Improving access to electricity not only drives economic growth but also opens the door to job and educational opportunities while helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, thus promoting sustainable development in the region.
