dc.description.tableofcontentsThis new installment of the Economy and Development Report (RED, for its acronym in spanish) provides arguments and evidence that explain the central role of public finance in promoting development with equity. The hypothesis proposed underlines the strong interdependence between decisions on taxes and spending and how this connection could generate a virtuous circle leading to higher levels of revenue that, in turn, would enable the provision of a greater quantity and quality of public goods.es
